Detailed Description:
Guneet is a Postgraduate from Ambedkar University and belongs to an agricultural background from Uttarakhand. Guneet is the founder of Forest Library Network, which works on improving the lives of tribal community the - Van Gujjar. The literacy rate is low amongst these people and the low engagement in education is leading to poor learning outcomes in tribal children. The project aims to improve the quality of education, encourage more community participation and create youth role models for the tribal children. The SDG goals of quality education and of reduced inequalities are expected to be achieved through the project. Guneet believes that the fellowship will give him an opportunity to meet like minded people, share and impart knowledge and build a strong network that would help him better his initiative.
