The fact that education is regarded as a burden rather than a source of enjoyment, and that it is now based on rote learning, prompted Aryan to think more thoroughly during the initial planning stages of this endeavor. The fact that we haven’t gotten any Nobel awards for STEM since 1947 indicates that the education system has flaws that must be addressed. He discovered YouTube to be the finest medium for sharing his ideas and making them open and accessible to a larger audience.
He began with an effort called “The Knowledge Mountain,” which is a community of people dedicated to learning in a unique and different way.
He developed various learning theories, including Research-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, and Problem-Based Learning. The narrative behind the initiative’s inception is pretty intriguing. “Until my high school, I was studying at a CBSE-based school, after which I transferred to a government school,” Aryan explains. In terms of ideas, he discovered that the children at the government school were highly creative and original. What they lacked were the necessary resources and assistance to turn their ideas into reality. The WHY element was included in the Research-Based Learning, which said that there should be a learning environment in which students can ask questions. Project-Based Learning entails a hands-on approach to the topics that students learn, whereas Problem-Based Learning entails resolving societal challenges through healthy group discussions and debates. “Curiosity can make you a brilliant inventor,” he says. These many learning ideas have a lot of potentials to shape the young mind and, in the end, alter the education sector.
While launching his YouTube Learning-based videos, he encountered numerous challenges because people did not believe in him, which demotivated him. Many people urged him to concentrate on his studies rather than releasing his videos for free. His youth did not dampen his desire to make learning more accessible and innovative. “Your passion will drive you to your goal,” he remarked. After a while, he began filming educational videos, with which he slowly and steadily acquired traction. His father was a participant at one of the gatherings where he was a guest speaker, he recalled. It was indeed a proud moment for his parents!
During a time when the epidemic was wreaking havoc on others, it proved to be a game-changer in Aryan’s life, making him a better and more reformed person. The pandemic let him realize his life’s mission and passion. And, because everything was online, he was a guest speaker at a number of events during the pandemic.
