The Connecting Dreams team has successfully brought in the ATT model across seven villages of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand. This village enterprise is run by local women groups in partnership with local NGO, enabling community and people centric learning using video conferencing and voice over internet to communicate, share best practices with people of neighbouring villages and connect with experts in cities.
Apna Tech Tree (ATT) is deployed in each adopted village. The village is then associated with a knowledge partner, like an educational institute, corporate or NGO. The knowledge partner will conduct need assessment in villages, prepare village level action plan, formalize a program and partner with relevant grassroots groups to achieve a 3 year vision plan. The knowledge partner will consist of students or highly committed individuals who are trained to apply business principles and their ideas to develop community outreach projects that improve the quality of life, employability standards of people in rural india. The complete program is managed by CDF.
